So...You're Going to Hypnotize my Baby???

Well, no.

And I won't hypnotize YOU, either. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, meaning that you will not receive suggestions that you do not wish to receive. Hypnosis is simply a state of mind in which a person is more open to suggestion, and can access the subconscious mind on purpose. We all experience this state of mind every single day. Daydreaming is a good example of how powerfully your mind can create vivid experiences!

Why should I take Hypnobabies?

This class covers just about everything you need to know about childbirth, PLUS teaches medical-grade hypnosis tools for comfort. The classes are engaging and fun, and are held at the beautiful Birth Center of Baton Rouge. It's the ONLY class you need to prepare for your baby's birthing.

How does hypnosis work?

Our experiences are usually a direct result of our expectations. We form our expectations based on our belief systems about a certain subject. In our culture, most of us have negative expectations about childbirth, based on what we've seen on television or heard from friends and family. We believe that childbirth is inherently scary and painful.

Hypnosis uses the design of your conscious and subconscious mind to purposefully change your belief system to be more positive. Then, your expectations and subsequently your experience will be better!

The main tool that you will learn is medical-grade hypnoanesthesia, which will transform the sensations of birth from pain and burning, to pressure and stretching.

A side benefit is that hypnosis promotes deep relaxation, which we know helps with birthing.

But does it really work?

It really does! Around 90% of Hypnobabies students have reported easier, more comfortable births. Some have even reported experiencing no pain at all, without the use of pain medications. Just look on YouTube; there are some pretty incredible videos showing Hypnobabies students having their babies - calmly, peacefully, and often extremely joyfully!
